New York wants to go green

New York has the goal to use 50 percent renewable energy by 2030. Therefore, state governor Cuomo will invest 1.5 billion U.S. dollars in 26 different projects with the focus on solar energy and wind parks. This is a huge step in Cuomo’s movement against the OCS Oil and Gas Leasing Program which includes offshore drilling for more fossil oil sources – and will significantly boost New York’s goal of going green.
