The world loses about 48 football fields of forest every minute. In a year, 15 billion trees are chopped down due to mining and agriculture industry. One of the biggest drivers of deforestation is the cultivation of soy, palm oil and cocoa, as well as beef farming. The company BioCarbon came up with a quick and cheap method to plant new trees by drones, where one drone scans the topography and a second drone is loaded with seeds and fires pods into the ground. This drone could plant 100,000 trees a day.
